MPC Renaissance

Can someone please tell me why this thing cost $1299?? It's just a midi controller right? It's not like its the actual MPC hardware so why would anyone pay $1299 for this?
Has anyone actually purchased this? I'm about to hop on Youtube and look at some reviews.
